Caregiver Connections-Virtual Activity Buddies

Caregiver Connections was created in 2011 when a group of caregivers started Eagle Valley Senior Life to confront a local need for care and caregiver resources for older adults with moderate to severe limitations, primarily cognitive in nature. It is a great grassroots story and we aim to be the one-stop shop for any caregivers of older adults who need resources, support and direct assistance. How you help in these challenging times:

  • Virtual Activity Buddies: Play a game virtually with a client or engage in some other activity or discussion/virtual visits. These Buddies can also deliver groceries and other supplies and can help put together and deliver care packages for caregivers and activity bags for care recipients.
  • Board Members: We are looking for two new Board members to replace members whose terms are ending. Caregiver connections wants to broaden our scope and is looking for Board Members who are inspired by helping older adults. We are focusing on fostering relationships and new partnerships, recruiting and training volunteers and expanding the client base.
  • Caregiver Assistance Fund: subsidizes some of the cost for in-home care
