The Local COVID Response Philanthropy Fund was established by the United Way of Eagle River Valley Board of Directors in March 2020 in response to the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis to support our community’s greatest needs.
Donations received through this fund will directly support local COVID Response Efforts. Funds will be allocated to local nonprofit agencies as we work in partnership to identify our community’s most pressing immediate and long-term needs.
Round 1: (Completed) $30,000 available to provide grants up to $5,000 for undersupported programs responding to COVID crisis related immediate and basic needs (food and shelter)
Round 1 Grants awarded:
$5,000 to Habitat for Humanity for mortgage relief
$5,000 to Swift Eagle Charitable Foundation for rent relief
$5,000 to Vail Valley Charitable fund for mortgage/rent relief
$5,000 to New Life Assembly of God for rent relief
$5,000 to United Way of Eagle River Valley (as fiscal sponsor) for Meal Delivery from Foodsmiths and Loaves and Fishes
$5,000 to Small Champions for rent and food assistance
Round 2: Dates TBD $20,000 available to provide grants up to $5,000 for undersupported programs responding to COVID crisis related immediate and mid-term needs
Round 3 to support long term needs: $ to local nonprofit support (if funds are available)
Individuals, groups, or 501c3 nonprofits may apply.
(Individuals and groups can receive funding for their initiatives under a fiscal sponsorship, which United Way of Eagle Valley can provide or refer to other fiscal sponsors.)
Applications for round 2 TBD.
Application must be submitted using the online form which will be made available to selected organizations.
Awards will be announced as soon as possible.
